I am a German-born Korean and I've been drawing since I was three. I attended Sun Hwa Art school in South Korea. I moved to Australia about seven years ago and started my career in multimedia design. I have been working professionally for three years, but I’ve never stopped doodling and jotting down ideas in my work book. I’ve always found inspiration from daily events. My design career has forced me to find precious pockets of time to develop my own, independent creative vision, but my cheeky drawings have always amuse the people around me. That has encouraged me no end. Too Sweet For Mine is my second show. These are my innermost emotions and cruelest imaginings—both feminine and cheeky. All my love is etched into each work. This show is like a diary; something of my childhood has stayed with me here. Escapist day-dreams, immunisations against my broken heart, memories of sweet cherished moments—to show you these images is to stand naked in a crowd. Too Sweet For Mine offers me a rare, humble opportunity to share my innermost reflections with you, in the best way I know how.
